Unable to open Axel chat after playing contractors VR
This is a weird one...
I've been using Axel chat for a few weeks now without any issues. However, this last Sunday, I had Axel chat open when I launched contractors VR through "Oculus VR Mode" instead of through Steam VR like I always have in the past. This immediately closed Axel chat and made it to where I can no longer open the program. No matter how many times I've restarted my computer, reinstalled the program, and even tried older versions, it still won't open for some reason!
When I go to open it, the initial icon appears but quickly goes away and nothing else opens. The weird part too is it still appears in task manager like it's open - each time I try to open it again it also creates a new instance in task manager (unless I end the task there first).
Love this program and would love to keep using it, but I'm not sure what's going on! Any help would be appreciated :)
Edit: I've also checked windows firewall and it appears to have the proper permissions. I've also tried opening it as admin but no luck there either.

I think I understand what the reason might be. This often happens when the user minimizes AxelChat to the system tray. When you launch AxelChat, does AxelChat appear in the system tray as in the image?
If AxelChat appears in the system tray when you launch it, but the window does not appear, then most likely you have enabled this setting (right-click on the icon in the tray and click Settings). Try disabling it. Everything should be fine the next time you launch it:
But if even after this you were not able to fix the problem, try resetting the settings by clicking on this button:
If you manage to fix the problem, please write which method helped you. I will try to think of something so that next time this problem does not occur, or it will be much easier to fix it.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. Looks like it was just minimized in the system tray and it's working now! Really appreciate the help and you putting out a tool like this. Please feel free to send over any type of donation link or another way I can show some support back.

For anyone struggling to open AxelChat - another possible issue is that it remembers on which display it was opened and tries to open there again even if that display is now disconnected.

It seems that this is indeed the case. I will try to fix this bug. At the moment, this can be solved by resetting the settings Settings->General->Reset settings. This will also reset the window position on the screen
