Running Glut examples causes Unhandled memory fault #x0

When I run glut examples from slime (cl-glut-examples:run-examples) I get an unhandled memory fault error and a bunch of blank frozen program windows. I tested on two of my machines that have Arch Linux OS. This error happens immediately before any shape is rendered to the screen.
