Yes, Evolution can do that for any contacts/calendars. It can open any vcf/ical file and import it into a collection.

The contact import functionality is not working for me on Evolution 3.36.2. After opening the vcard file, the importer just closes, but nothing happens. Via Android, the import worked.

Importing calendar files also does not work. Here, I get the error: Message recipient disconnected from message bus without replying.

The contact import works fine for me. Could you try to reduce your vcard file and anonymize it, so I can reproduce it?

For the calendar import I am able to reproduce the crash, so I can investigate it.

I did fix the calendar crash, but unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the contacts one. For me it just imports fine.
