App Recommendations
I've been wanting to use Decsync for nearly a year, but I've never had the time to figure out the details of whatever it takes to set it up. I already run Syncthing on my mobile device, so I'm ready to sync, but Decsync doesn't connect to my Contacts and Calendar.
It appears I need to install some extra Calendar or Contacts apps that will connect with Decsync? I really don't care what I have to do, but I need the instructions on how to do it. We all have busy lives. Please, in the app, provide some instructions on how to get it going (or a link from the app to a webpage with instructions). Also, if I need to install new apps, then please recommend some.

What ROM do you have?
Normally, most calendar and contacts app should work with DecSync CC.
These steps might vary but they should be similar:
- Create a collection in the DecSync CC for your calendar & contacts and enable them
- In your contacts app change your default to that collection
- As for your calendar, it should automatically do it for you once your create your collection for it
I ended up finally getting in communication with another person who told me they finally figured out how to get it working for themselves (through trial and error), and they shared the information with me. Apparently, I didn't need to install any new apps.
I've seen no instructions in Decsync that informs a person that they need to *Export all data, And Reimport it under a Decsync account.
With that simple information I could have been successfully backing up my data long ago. Everyone already has Contact and Calendar data. It needs to be Exported and Reimported.
Adding in this information into the app would be very appreciated. Thank you for your thoughtful reply, and great work.
@Sepero It can be included in but I'd imagine that the instructions might differ because not all Calendar/Contact apps look the same.
Nonetheless, I agree.
@39aldo39 Can the instructions be included in the project readme?
I agree that it can be clearer. However, I am also working on an import function directly from DecSync CC. I prefer that more convenient solution which hopefully is included in the next release.
