Feature: Support primusrun for Nvidia Optimus computers

Open jathanasiou opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Hey there. Many laptops have a hybrid Intel/Nvidia Optimus setup. This usually means that games and GPU-intensive tasks are run with optimus or, the more modern, primus via primusrun <command>. However when used in conjunction with ssr-glinject there seems to be no video output (black screen).

Hmm, since I can't test it, can you record video using SimpleScreenRecorder+GL capture? If not, reporting the issue on the SSR repo is probably better, since that's the part that actually captures the video.

Hey, appreciate the quick response. I tried yesterday and I couldn't get any visual preview from SSR, only sound. I just thought it would be more appropriate here since it seems to originate from the GL capturing tool, but I will make an issue there as well. Thanks.

Yeah the thing that does the actual capturing is SSR code in this case :)

I'll keep this open for now since https://github.com/MaartenBaert/ssr/issues/675 is still open

oh allright, apologies. A assumed you'd rather track it in the SSR repo.
