I will use http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ fonts to create the Hi-Res icons.

All icons we need or might need later are available. They can be colored, resized, generated very easily.

Tell me asap if there is a problem to use this font to create the icons set.

On iMac 27" 5K, the "Quick View" (press space bar in Finder) and dock in max icon size is a bit blurred.
