search function breaks responsive layout

Bug description:

when the search function is used, the side margins on the output page go out of whack. the page is not centered properly and the layout is not device responsive.

Bug reproduction:

enter 2fa:otp is the search bar

Impacted devices:

Macbook Pro M2 Max, Sonoma Version 14.6.1 (23G93), firefox 131.0 (aarch64), have not tried on other devices

Expected behavior:

the page would load without horizontal scroll bars, as the divs would be centered and the margins and viewport and whatever else needs to be fixed is fixed
