PWAs are shortcuts, not widgets, so I think the implementation would be different than for 1x1 widgets than for pwas. They'd both be cool and it'd be nice to have...

I think this may be an issue for the upstream library, https://github.com/niklasf/python-chess, which is in charge of printing out the chess board.
