The implementation for Glutanimate looks interesting, we could use this as an inspiration for our models. This does not resolve the UI bits but can help on the parser side https://github.com/Glutanimate/cloze-overlapper/wiki/Troubleshooting

While I would love to have this implemented in a proof of concept. We simply need to research implementation ideas. So this will deferred until September.

After thinking about some more and looking at glutanimate's add-on. I think we don't need a emoji and instead can rely on using a well crafted template. This one what I thinking, see https://www.notion.so/Overlapping-Cloze-Deletions-4c95a4e88d914cde9cd8074c5b135dd5

Also I looked at the LPCG add-on. With some JavaScript we can probably achieve this.

Here is the rough sketch of the new template

New Template for Cloze Overlap

- Field: Index (starts from 1 increments)
- Field: Title (will be the toggle list header?)
- Field: Content (includes cloze deletions)
- Field: All All of the text without cloze deletions. Can be shown via button in the template

I wouldn’t normally recommend support of specific Anki plugins but supporting a cloze overlapper plugin would be a huge deal for many users including myself.
