Android version. The main menu cannot be controlled using a gamepad. Please add this feature so it's easy to play on Android TV

I don't think we have support for Android TV. We do support Android, though.

But idk I'm not part of the main team, maybe MrZ will decide to actually add this

Android TV is the same as a normal Android phone, it's just that you can't touch the screen, you have to use a mouse, remote, or gamepad. Almost all mobile applications run on android tv Pada tanggal 8 Apr 2023 04.00, "NOT_A_ROBOT" @.***> menulis:

While almost all mobile applications can run on TV (as in, they don't crash), they certainly aren't all designed with TV in mind. A mobile app is often designed with the assumption that you do have access to a touch screen.

Back to Techmino, while keyboard-only navigation and gamepad-only navigation would be somewhat nice additions (and actually there have been some considerations made for them; some menus do have keyboard and gamepad controls), it's ultimately a lot of work for little value, since most players either have a mouse or a touch screen. At least this is what the game is designed for, and this is the assumption made when making the game.

Perhaps we could map the joystick to a virtual mouse (this should be common practice)

Android TV isn't the only case where gamepad controls would make sense. Android handhelds are getting more and more popular, and having to use the touchscreen feels quite awkward. Even worse, some of them don't even have a touch screen.

+1 Also when entering the menu player is required to change the grip from gamepad to phone, and that manouver is a bit cumbersome when the phone is on a stand.
