What Razer device(s) are you using?
Huntsman TE and Viper Ultimate
Did you try pressing "Refresh Device List"? If so, that's a weird bug and is your computer a M1 or Intel-based Mac?
On a MacBook Pro, M1, with a Razer Kiyo Pro connected via an Ivanky USB hub. I get 'Please select a device to configure' The top bar thinks that I'm still in Finder, so no chance to refresh devices.

Click anywhere on your desktop and it won't think that anymore.

This does nothing for me (i'm on 0.4.9 but also tried 0.4.8 and 0.4.7). Im running macOS 12.3.1 on an intel macbook pro with a huntsman elite + basilisk v3 connected via a targus usbc dock.
Same issue 11.6.2
As per TheBoroer, this does nothing for me. Of course clicking anywhere else does take me out finder, but nothing comes up to let me refresh devices.
Update! It ended up being a glitch with another app I use to manage/show/hide top menu bar app icons (the app i use is called Vanilla). So i never saw that top menu bar icon. Once i quit or restart the vanilla app I saw the icon. But I think we need to update the app's readme so that people are aware that the app's main navigation/interaction comes from that small menu icon.
When I first click to open Razer macOS
from the application menu, no windows pop up. It just slyly adds a small icon in the mac menu bar at the top of the screen with this icon:
At this point I never saw that icon and if i go and try to open Razer macOS
from the applications folder again (like I think many of us here have tried) we'll see this screen:
And that's where we usually get stuck lol.
Since there's no in-app nav bar (that'd be a great feature request / addition btw), this app's basically controlled through the menu icon at the top. Once I click the icon, I see my devices and can control them from there, the main window will pop up again for certain things like custom color settings and it'll have device-specific settings. Clicking on the icon gives me this:
I think we need to update the readme to tell people the app is fully controlled via the small icon in the menu bar at the top until we get an in-app nav bar going so we can do all the menu-icon actions within the main window.
I hope this helps some people & saves yall time trying to figure this out. I tried everything to get this going, including building it from source...but the solution was so simple 😂
Thank you @TheBoroer your thoughtful reply helped me use this program that a lot of people have put effort into. You got me the last mile.
That didn't get me anywhere. The Razer macOS dialogue still says "Please select a device to confiture", but only the title bar and close/minimize buttons are active. "Force Quit" doesn't even acknowledge that the program is running. I unplugged the Ivanky hub and plugged the camera directly into a USB C jack with the same results.

Hey @SteveEdiger What camera are you talking about? Is it the Razer Kiyo? I don't see any webcam's listed over at openrazer, which is what razer-macos uses in the background: https://openrazer.github.io/
Your best bet would be to make a request on the openrazer repo to add support for your device and once it's there, the razer-mac peeps could pull in those updates and release a new version of razer-macos.
