extras -> eye gaze mode = much larger visibility. Tip: an eyeball 'zzzz' appears, click it to toggle auto click on/off

eye gaze mode is a bit too big for my liking while the normal one is miniscule (even smaller then this person has it)

honestly a simple drag resize could be good (i remember the windows VISTA version of paint having it as a feature already)
