Private group + invite links: no captcha?

Greetings,

I hope I'm not making a mistake but it seems that a user who joins a private group via an invite link does not get the captcha... and as such, not the greeting. Is this correct, and is there something I can do to enable this after all?

Well I did try everything I could, but I can not get the captcha to display, nor to get the welcome message to display...
