Support database Server in addition to Host

Open chrisdail opened this issue 3 months ago • 2 comments

op CLI version

2.31.1

Goal or desired behavior

The issue I am having is with the mysql database plugin but it applies to all database plugins.

When you create a new 'Database' vault entry in 1Password, it suggests/recommends as the field for the domain/IP as server. The CLI plugins on the otherhand use the field host (ref).

Image

These should be consistent, using the same field in the CLI as is used when creating database entries. The easiest path forward would be if the CLI can work with either option. So it would use the host property if available and if that is not set default to using the server property.

Current behavior

To use this today, anytime you create a databse entry in a vault, you would need to manually switch server to host.

I guess it is not just Server and Host. The 1Password UI also recommends using Username instead of what the plugin uses, which is User.
