Trouble with Bits

Okay maybe I'm stupid and missed it when reading but where does it say how to collect bits? Like what's the process of collecting them? Do I write the coords of a corner or something? Im in a dungeon but it still says 0 bits collected pls help.

the mod does all the work lol. use the mod then run around and find as many structures as possible.

For example burried ships, igloos, pillager outpost, ocean monuments, pyramids and swamp huts
