Hi there, and thanks for submitting this!
I'm having trouble replicating this issue. I assume you're clicking on the "use design systems" link within the Design section of How to use this guide, which goes to Use a design system. When I click that link, it does not 404 for me.
Is it a different link you're trying to use? Am I wrong about how you tried this? Happy to help if I can figure out what to fix.
sorry for the delay, I didn't bring my computer on vacation. I'm attaching screenshots of the two screens.
This is the link I selected for Design System - https://github.com/18F/ux-guide/blob/master/_pages/design/use-a-design-system.md
Hi @n-brock could you confirm this is still an issue? I tried replicating this issue on a mac desktop using Safari. The link I get is from the nav is different: https://ux-guide.18f.gov/design/use-a-design-system/
Because we switched our main branch's name from master
to main
, any hyperlinks to Github pages with /master/
in them will 404. I can work on updating these links.
Thanks @echappen! + good to know the root of the issue :)
I was able to replicate this issue and it ended up being another reason—the Jekyll page name had spaces in it, but the hyperlink to the page from the README used hyphens. #294 should fix that for both the "use a design system" and "build a prototype" pages.
