I find the idea of supporting COLRv1 interesting, but not compelling. The other fonts already exist. It seems like duplicate work to update this font. What is the benefit?

This Feature Request will require a significant amount of work including updates to https://github.com/13rac1/scfbuild I wonder why the project should be prioritized when https://github.com/googlefonts/color-fonts exists. I have closed the CBDT/SBIX...

Not sure how to handle the messaging. The thing is, most (many? some?) people install this font because to they don't want Google emoji. I prefer they fix https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=306078 which...
