How will I be sure from the server side if I m even mining?

How will I be sure from the server side if I m even mining? I see my miner windows geting jobs, mining difficulty and hashing etc. But I dnt see any coins for a very long time. Nor the ETH address shows any reduction for using gas. How can I be sure that I m doing the right thing?

Are you mining in a pool or solo? In you pool mine you'll see shares in the pool
