There are no ads for me. Did you enable all the extensions in safari settings?

Thanks for the response! Yes everything is enabled:

All filters are applied as well.

That's weird. Could you try reapplying changes and updating (first button on the left at the top)?

Just tried that, unfortunately no luck I still see the sponsored results

Are you still having issues? I'm still not getting ads.

Unfortunately it still shows google sponsored results both on my Mac and on my iPhone

I would like to report I have the exact same issue where google sponsor ads are showing on both Mac and iOS. I am on the macOS 26 and iOS 26. What I noticed is if I refresh the page a few times they disappear. Hope this helps!

Have you guys tried the new App Store version? https://apps.apple.com/app/wblock/id6746388723

Also, please make sure that when you click on wBlock Scripts (on iOS) or wBlock Advanced (on macOS) that it is set to "Allow" (not "Ask") on all websites, else ads won't be blocked.

Neither Google sponsored results nor Reddit promoted posts are blocked, for me. Nor ads on The Guardian. This is iOS 18.6.2 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

But many other things are blocked as expected.

Could you confirm that every wBlock extension is on and wBlock Scripts has this exact setting?

Yes, where it is possible to do so, in wBlock Scripts. Every other Extension doesn’t have that option:

Yes, that's normal. It's super strange that it's not blocking. Are you using the "recommended" lists or did you enable/disable any others?

0xCUB3 avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 0xCUB3

I enabled Adguard Mobile and a couple UserScripts, in addition to Recommended.

jthile avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 jthile

Very strange. Just to cycle everything, could you go to Settings -> Restart Onboarding, select "recommended" and whatever scripts you want, and then see if it starts working? This seemed to work for some users experiencing this issue.

0xCUB3 avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 0xCUB3

I did that, but only reapplied Recommended, Block Paywalls Clean, and Adguard Extra. Same result: some ads are blocked, but not those listed above…

jthile avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 jthile

Hmm... are there any errors in your logs? Settings > View Logs

0xCUB3 avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 0xCUB3

Aha! Is this something?

jthile avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 jthile

Yep, that's something. Restart onboarding and try only "base" with just AdGuard Base + userscripts.

0xCUB3 avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 0xCUB3

After onboardng with only Base and the two UserScripts, it works! Excellent.

jthile avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 jthile

Btw this should be fixed in the next release. I'm rearranging some of the extensions so the rule count isn't lopsided (which causes these random issues)

0xCUB3 avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 0xCUB3

Thanks so much for your effort. wBlock is awesome.

jthile avatar Nov 27 '25 13:11 jthile

I have the same issue, but redoing the onboarding didn't fix it for me. I don't use google, but i have ads in duckduckgo and also reddit. I'm on version 1.1.0 Here are the pics of the ads, my activated userscripts after the onboarding (didn't touch anything else) and all the error logs:
