[Bug] Inconsistent ligatures with fira code

Describe the bug Inconsistent ligatures with fira code, the pasted ligatures don't become ligatures until the font has changed, then behave completely fine. After that, typing any don't become ligatures, regardless of whether or not the font has changed

To Reproduce I copy and pasted fira code's showcases.txt, changed the font from fira code to fira code retina (pasted ligatures work) and then manually typed some of those ligatures. (manually typed ligatures don't work, even after changing fonts again)

Expected behavior ligatures happens

  • OS: windows 10 1809 17763.4645
  • Version 1.4.9.0

Additional context rather than installing Notepads through microsoft store, downloaded it's packages and installed through powershell (because i don't have microsoft store)

Can you try replicate the issue in Windows sticky notes app? If so, then it is MSFT's richedit issue.

I don't have the sticky notes app for some reason, anything else i can use?

Edit: Downloaded with same method as Notepads app, but I can't change the font
