No bootloop from removing com.miui.wmsvc

Open aritorhamo opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Your phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (MediaTek) with Android 6.0 and MIUI Global 10.2

Packages documentation to update: com.miui.wmsvc

Documentation chage As a response to a feedback request, I report that removing this package doesn't cause a bootloop in my phone. I hope someone else can put this into proper wording for the documentation.

I can confirm this

Nice to have confirmation, but uuuh, apparently other(newer?) devices/OS versions will bootloop when this package is removed? See #153

Same here. Was able to uninstall on Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro running Android 11 and MIUI 12.5.5 without issues after rebooting

Same on Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Android 12 MIUI Global 13.0.1 Stable

Maybe the person writing issue 153 was just confusing things seeing as everyone else can uninstall the package just fine.

Yeah, removed it from MIUI 12.5.4, didn't face any issue.
