Receiving duplicate messages

Some SMS messages sent to me deliver multiple times. In the past 10-14 days, this issue has occurred 3 different times and seems to only happen with messages I receive, not send. For example, a friend will text me "Hello" and it will deliver multiple duplicate messages one after the other just a few minutes apart. Sometimes it sends one duplicate message, sometimes 2-3, the most I've seen it go to today was 4 of the same message being delivered.

Looked into this, so far I couldn't find anything that could be causing the duplicate messages. I'm not getting them so it's hard to troubleshoot. Next time you get them, have heroku logs open to see if you can catch something peculiar and the network tab on your browser to see if something is failing or repeating.
