Beta simply refuses to install

I added the beta to Dalamud via the provided github repository. When I attempt to install it, I get the error "Failed to install Plugin [BETA] VFXEditor. Please restart your game and try again. If this error occurs again, please contact the plugin author." I have restarted my game to no avail.
