I don't understand how to use it.

Hello, I've tried reading the user manual two or three times, but I still don't understand how to use it. Is it possible to have a tutorial video on how to use or set it up? Or maybe a sample file that has already been configured so I can take a look?

THANK YOU!

Hi Santad, I know this program isn't like other programs. It doesn't provide well-defined, usual functions because it's designed to offer as much freedom as possible. So it can be daunting to get started, but once you're done, it comes quickly, from the simplest to the least expected, and what you want to do with it is up to you.

I'm very busy right now because I'm going to release an add-on for World of Warcraft next month that took me two years to prepare. So I won't have time for videos, just as I haven't had much time for this program in the past year. But I'll be revisiting it soon. I plan to simplify it visually, better separate things between basic and advanced functions, dedicate a tab to the much simpler input where you can mix four joysticks into one that will serve as a source, and things like that.

In the meantime, I've taken a little time to create an ini file with three examples (one per profile) with fairly different and not very complicated goals. The instructions will certainly give you new ideas later on, rather than you finding your starting point.

Let me know if that's okay, and I'll close the ticket. See you later.

Thank you very much. Having these examples will probably help me understand and use the program, since it has so many configurable features. If I can grasp how it works, I think it’ll be a lot of fun to map various buttons—especially mapping buttons from multiple controllers at once sounds really interesting. Using it in simulation-type games would be super fun. XD

P.S. Do the example files include gyro settings as well? Because I use the gyro in every game (I’m using a DualSense controller). Feel free to let me know anytime when you've finished the examples. Thanks again!

There's already the option to mix two joysticks in the settings by choosing 1 and 2 from the bottom list, then clicking on 'DI device' to combine them into one. But for now, this removes the DualSense's additional functions. The plan is to create a simpler page for four joysticks that will enable the special features of the DS4&5 and possibly others like the Wiimote, without having to specify.

At first, the program was only for Sony controllers. By adding access to all of them, I had to temporarily disable the gyro and vibration passthrough, but I'll add them back. I plan to add DS5 to the output as well, but that's for later. It will take time to create a driver with a lease on the signature rights, and I'll already have a lot to do with the WoW add-on.

But if you choose DS5 as the source in the settings, you have access to the DS5 Stances, which allow you to perform actions based on gestures or your position, or even control a vehicle using movement alone, by redirecting the stances to the axis. You can possibly transform these into gamepad buttons, even the trigger and keyboard keys. Without changing the mapping, you can make it adapt to your position, whether sitting, lying on your back, etc.

I've placed the examples (ini file and help) in one of the project directories; you can already download them. Sorry I don't have time for a full remapping example, only the first one explains remapping but with a simple swap of two keys. The other two are on other areas; I hope this will be enough for you.

I'm leaving the ticket open, so if you have a question you can't find the answer to, you can ask me; it will give me an idea of what needs to be improved.
