Moving Universal Search (@SynoFinder-log) and Shared Folder Sync (@S2S) to a new volume

Open rsemau opened this issue 4 months ago • 2 comments

syslog-ng is configured to log to /volume1/@SynoFinder-log, would it be possible to have the app mover move that too? Same for @S2S

As a workaround, I tried doing a symlink but the folder gets recreated in that case

I also tried to change the symlink from /usr/local/packages/@appdata/SynoFinder/log to point to the new volume, but that also gets recreated when restarting with synopkg start SynoFinder

EDIT: For @S2S (Shared Folder Sync), I was able to change the volume by editing /usr/syno/etc/S2S/S2S.conf and changing vol_path=/volume1 to the new volume

Apart from the /usr/local/packages/@appdata/SynoFinder/log symlink there is also a /var/packages/SynoFinder/var/log symlink. No idea why everything in ``/var/packagesseems to be duplicated to/usr/local`.

I'll have a look at adding all those to syno_app_mover.

@rsemau great find for @S2S!

@007revad in case it helps, for /usr/syno/etc/packages/SynoFinder/etc-volume, /usr/local/packages/@appdata/SynoFinder/log and /var/packages/SynoFinder/var/log I found out that when a new volume is created, their pointers get moved to the biggest volume. I was able to workaround this automatic move by creating a small volume, then resizing it; and it seems to survive reboots.
