Upgrade Guzzle to 7
Since Guzzle 7 requires PHP 7.2, I assumed the required PHP version should be updated as as well. Thanks a lot for your work!
Fixes #7 please merge this :)
I can confirm that this library works well with PHP8.1 but only if this pull request is merged. Please do this and make a new release!
Can we merge this in?
I asked nearly 18 months ago if this repo was abandoned and needed a new maintainer #9. There has been no response, so it looks like it is. I'm happy to be the new maintainer if others agree, and can clone and publish from another github organisation.
Does anyone want to comment?
@joshbmarshall that sounds great. I had been using this repo and because of the conflict with guzzle had to take this out of my composer.json dependency tree.
if you're planning on maintaining it indefinitely, please let me know - a comment would be helpful when it has been moved over.
I've been using my own fork since this update but would be more than happy to know this repo in a new, maintained home. Thank you!
@joshbmarshall @jorisnoo I have decided to take the plunge. I'll be maintaining this going forward:
- https://packagist.org/packages/connecteev/pixabay-php-api
For now, this is more-or-less a clone, so the usage is identical to zoonman/pixabay-php-api
Ha! I was about to do this. I had emailed Phillip yesterday again to give him another chance to give the green light but he didn't respond so was about to do it. Will you also be pulling in #5 ?
@joshbmarshall if he responds, I'm happy to continue using this repo. In the interim, I'll use mine, and I hope you find it useful too.
PS> https://github.com/zoonman/pixabay-php-api/pull/5 is now part of release 1.1.0 at https://github.com/connecteev/pixabay-php-api/releases/tag/1.1.0
No what he'd do is to deprecate this repo and point it to yours for future people. For example what was done at https://github.com/Surt/Granada when I took over maintainer and moved to https://github.com/GranadaORM/Granada
What I did in that case was to create a separate organisation so that in future if someone wants to take over from me I can add them to the organisation and they continue work, rather than being in my personal account.
That works too!
Thanks @connecteev I've switched to your packagist for all my projects :)
@joshbmarshall sounds good :)
Sorry guys, I’m traveling at this moment. I will check this once I’m back home.
Please upgrade to 2.0.0
