No first-time wizard after fully uninstalling and re-installing again
Description of the issue
I installed the addon, set it up in the wizard, ran into some problem. Decided to start from scratch with it.
- Uninstalled, with "Also permanently delete the addon's data"
- Installed again
This time, there was no setup wizard, and I saw the error I encountered immediately in the logs.
For reference, the error was
[2025-05-25 12:25:00] error: z2m: Error while starting zigbee-herdsman
[2025-05-25 12:25:00] error: z2m: Failed to start zigbee-herdsman
[2025-05-25 12:25:00] error: z2m: Check https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/installation/20_zigbee2mqtt-fails-to-start_crashes-runtime.html for possible solutions
[2025-05-25 12:25:00] error: z2m: Exiting...
[2025-05-25 12:25:00] error: z2m: Error: Failed to connect to the adapter (Error: SRSP - SYS - ping after 6000ms)

It looks like even uninstalling as described above leaves some state, to the effect that the wizard is not started.
I am currently stuck, my options are
- find out where the error comes from (the link did not help)
- reinstall HAOS from scratch
Addon version
2.3.0-1
Platform
Core 2025.4.3 Supervisor 2025.05.1 Operating System 15.2
Logs of the issue (if applicable)
No response
I found a workaround:
- install the File Editor addon
- use that to delete /homeassistant/zigbee2mqtt/configuration.yaml
- start the addon: The onboarding is shown again in the web ui

Go away stale bot.

This issue is very likely not solved, and a stale bot won't change that. I won't expend any more energy here fighting a stupid bot. Have a good day.
