Problem with MQTT settings

Description of the issue

I have problem with changing the default MQTT settings. I have installed the MQTT Broker and the integration. After installing Zigbee2MQTT, I go to the onboarding page. There the fields MQTT Server MQTT User MQTT Password are greyed out. After installing I tried to change these settings in ZigbeeMQTT frontend: Settings > MQTT But after a restart it reverts to the default settings.

Changing these values in the configuration file also doesn't help. After a restart of the add-on, there are changed back automatically.

When the MQTT addon is installed, the settings will be automatically retrieved from it (so no manual configuration is needed).

I have the MQTT running on a different machine. That’s why I want to be able to change the address and user credentials.

@tane64 does it work after removing the mosquitto addon?

I tested it, it works after removing the Mosquito add-on. But still I'd prefer to be able to manually change this setting, when Zigbee2MQTT is indeed installed on the same machine. I installed the MQTT add-on on the same machine, and Zigbee2MQTT immediately reverted to the defaults settings.

@uncleremus have you checked your settings in HA > Addons > Zigbee2MQtt > Configuration tab. I found the mQTT settings here overwrite any settings added changed in the configuration.yaml or the Zigbee2Mqtt frontend.
