What client has that? It sounds like something done for legacy support. I have never heard of "block read/write" in OPC UA specification.

Test the server with UaExpert first. However if you are getting timeout it's probably a networking issue.

If UA Expert can't read it, then I highly doubt it's a problem on the read side. I wouldn't even bother using Python OPC UA until you have it working...
