Unable to Paste Text

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

I am able to copy and cut text from zed and even paste it in other windows, but I am unable to paste text in zed, neither using Ctr + V nor the editor: paste command

• my keymap.json file is empty (I am not using any custom shortcuts)
• my WM does not have any shortcuts that conflict with paste
• cut, copy and paste work properly in and between other windows
• hyprctl clients tells me that zed is using wayland and not xwayland
