Describe the feature

Could we have a glowing text effect like https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term and https://github.com/robb0wen/synthwave-vscode for both in editor and built-in terminal? 👍

I'd love to have a text-shadow feature for the editor in general. That's what I'm currently using in Atom and it's just waaaay more readable and fixes the contrast problems. Bildschirmfoto 2024-02-14 um 19 03 05

It's a cool thing to do, but I think it's probably a low priority

i dont know if Zed supports custom theming but if it had this level of detail in its dotfiles that would be HUGE. also, @JosephTLyons this affects terminal too so add the tag

FWIW the effect as described by OP is often called "bloom" (or just "glow").
