VPN connection does not drop when logging out of user

I use this program to connect to work on my home PC from a dedicated user on my system, but I also use this same PC for personal use.

When I logout of my work user and login to my work user the program does not stop working, this is most likely due to being run as root.

Is there a way I can configure the program or does this have to be implemented by the developer to close when leaving the user I open it on?

Anyone know any suggestions?

Late post, but I've noticed this a well. No 'client_logout', my session expires by time or when I log in again. Stat wise, it makes it look like I was on a lot longer than I was :-)
