Wrong handling of oasis generated files
Those commands are quite bad. If the user decide to customize its _tags and myocamlbuild later. If you want to clean the oasis part exclusively, oasis setup-clean -replace-sections Empty -remove Empty is what you are looking for.
But again, why do that to begin with ? With the normal setup, those files are part of the distribution, you shouldn't remove them and with the dynamic setup ... those files are not even there to begin with.
Same remarks for the .gitignore.
Finally, if you want to add a custom make command, you should do it like that. Oasis will put its stuff between the two lines.
Hey @Drup, a thousand pardons for the delay: it was such a rush week for me at work and other projects and I ended up having time just now to answer you
At first, I must honestly say that OCaml tooling isn't one of my strengths yet: I started playing with the language not much ago and tried to get first the type system - which is so beautiful, BTW - its extensions, its syntactic possibilities, the module system etc. So I ended up doing the generator to motivate more people to start as well.
Regarding your issue, the problem is still not 100% clear for me, sorry. However, I took a look at the project that you referenced and it seemed preety much of a good boilerplate. Could you please open a PR with the changes you think are necessary?
(Thanks for the interest in the project )
