fields of type "date"

Hello, I'm trying to retreive a field of type date and there is no way the server swalow the request. In the moment I remove that specifyc field everything goes on wheels but otherwhile the page returns this:

Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.

Please HELP!
