@blakeplusplus feel free to tag multiple games in a single issue if they have the same bug

I don't have that issue at 1x scale.

I don't have that issue at 1x scale.

Yes, the issue only occurs at greater than 1x scale, per the issue title.

I don't think this issue makes much sense then, because upscaling is known to break stuff in Xemu. Some games react worse than others. Like Midnight Madness 3 having serious graphical issues when scaling more than 1x. Even 1x scale was not working correctly until a couple months ago.

I think is better have a generic issue for this and just mention games where scaling more than 1x break stuff. Like the one for performance issues https://github.com/xemu-project/xemu/issues/1098

This issue absolutely makes sense; just because upscaling breaks more things than normal doesn't mean it shouldn't be reported. Just because a meta thread or a label should exist doesn't mean I'm liable to create that meta thread or petition to have that label made.

This issue occurs to every single game in Xemu. So, you are suggesting to create one issue per-game for this? lol This is a GENERAL issue. It affects all games if you upscale. Only exception where you can create a separate issue for it is if it only affects this specific game. Otherwise, you will end up with hundreds of duplicated issues that are the same. If I was Matt I would just close it and open a more generic one.

antoniodesousa avatar Jun 13 '25 15:06 antoniodesousa

If this exact issue occurs to every single game in Xemu, why haven't YOU made a Meta thread? I don't have that knowledge or evidence so I cannot open a Meta issue about it.

If I was Matt I would just close it

Matt is already here in this thread. This makes two times where you have not read something in this issue. Please read the entire issue and thread before commenting.

Because I don't find it important. I play mostly at 1x anyways. YOU are the one who wants it fixed when upscaling.

I read the whole thing before commenting... the points in my comments still stand whether you like or not.

it is worth submitting IMHO, most likely it is a singular cause for all instances, perhaps games doing a color mask overlay that is not scaling because the game creates it at an odd lower resolution(320x226 for example) that doesn't scale with the main 640x480 as you increase it... at lower resolution it is close enough to not notice considering it all goes out the tv encoder on real hardware
