Describe the bug
Easyeffects ends with SIGKILL at random moments, typically after stopping audio, like at the end of a YouTube movie or paused music. I'm using three effects in the output chain: equalizer, bass enhancer, and volume meter.
Expected Behavior
I want to work with Easyeffects without any crashes and unexpected exits.

They are errors that usually happen when the system is not being able to deliver audio buffers as fast as the sound card would like. The output of pw-top has a column that shows them in realtime. As far as I remember xruns usually cause crackling and similar noises. Not a sigkill.

It happens a lot when stressing the CPU (e.g. launching/closing apps + browsing, video, etc.).
@QkiZMR Unfortunately no, only for a few seconds/minutes.
I don't know what's causing it, it looks like it's running on low priority or allows to interrupt.
I have the same issue, Kubuntu 24.04, EasyEffects 7.1.6, i7 12700, 64G ram + 32G swap.
The problem is observed when any application finishes its sound and disappears from the list of active applications in the "players" section.
My workaround is start it as command:$ while [ 1 == 1 ]; do easyeffects; sleep 1; done
But sometimes the application is restarted many times in a row. Did not notice dependence on the cpu usage.
@pavelkvkv I think it's an Pipewire bug, because I have the same with and without Easyeffects.
I think your command keeps Pipewire alive.
