compressor "attack threshold" and "release threshold" make no sense

The compressor tutorials I've found mention one threshold, so these are new terms.

The manual states that the release threshold is "calculated by summing the Release Threshold to the Attack Threshold". That's like saying x = x + y.

It depends on how configurable the compressor is. The one we use is from Linux Studio Plugins and it exposes more controls than the ones you usually see in other compressors https://lsp-plug.in/?page=manuals&section=compressor_stereo.

I haven't checked the contents in our manual in a while. So it may have some inaccurate information as through the years plugins have changed. @Digitalone1 do you remember from where this particular information came? LSP manual only says that the relative threshold value is relative to the Attack Thresh threshold that sets up the threshold of Release Time.

I have to update the documentation since some changes have been made in the last months, especially the app settings and the pitch effect.

Anyway, about the Relative Release Threshold, I asked about it here and there is an explanation.
