I am also getting this error. I am currently running wordpress 4.2 and BackWPup version 3.1.4. I don't see any other updates for the backwpup plugin.

Hi @danielhuesken, I'm having the same problem. I get the EntityRef: expecting ';' in my urls with & signs in them but do not have the ability to change the urls. Is there any way to fix it without doing so?

Thank you in advance!
