Done is:

  • The unit test suite runs for every pull request.

@danielbachhuber To run phpunit based on shared testing setup you must use https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wp-cli/wp-cli-tests/main/phpcs.xml.dist and adapt it. Renaming phpunit.xml to phpunit.xml.dist is also required.
