I'm not sure if this is the right place to leave a suggestion, but, for example, I have a list of 2,000+ items... it might be a nice feature to see a "Return to beginning" or "Back to Top" button.

Yes, this is the right place to leave suggestions. This plugin was designed for unordered lists, so there was no such concept about "beginning" or "top". But I agree this is a good idea, I'll definitely take some time to implement this.
