react-native-fetch-blob merge with react-native-fs

Given the missing maintainer and the similarity with react-native-fs, would it make sense to "merge" the projects by contributing missing functionality and ultimately directing people to the other module?

Is there any progress on this front? I'm really confused about how this repo is still getting the Issue and PR traffic that it is with no merges to master or a steadily maintained fork in existence. Do you know of any fork of this repo that is consistently maintained?

if it helps people's decision i switched to using react-native-fs and I have been loving it.

I've since moved to a well-maintained fork on this repo called rn-fetch-blob.
