Video recordings not working from Safari

Unable to watch video recordings under the latest version of Safari web browser 15.6.1, macOS 12.5.1, Apple M1. It works under Brave web browser, but with issues (the video is freezing, audio continues to playing). It seems codec incompatibilities.
