Regression : startup very slow (deciphering messages)

It seems that Issue #876 is back. Startup time for the app on Linux is very slow, "deciphering messages" for minutes. Wire 3.16.2923 / Manjaro Linux 19.

Sometimes quitting Wire and starting it new seems to help.

Just installed wire today and faced this problem just after a few hours.

Platform: Android (custom rom - cr droid)

force stopping the app and clearing the cache solves it for me though

I have the same issue with version Desktop version 3.40.3718 I didn't used this installation for a while, so I have a few more messages to decrypt. It's at 182 of 391 and I'm waiting over 24h already! It is still progressing but every message takes more and more time - currently it looks like ~15min per message. The wire process takes most of CPU (I see two of them - one takes about 90% of one core, and another take about 50% of another core).
