Ugh, ugh, so `alsa_input.pci-0000_08_00.6.analog-stereo` has three ports: ``` Ports: analog-input-front-mic: Front Microphone (priority: 8500, available) analog-input-rear-mic: Rear Microphone (priority: 8200, available) analog-input-linein: Line In (priority: 8100, not available) Active Port:...

Also afterwards, if `Active Port` becomes the one you need and you still would hear silence - try to check in pavucontrol that volumes aren't at near zero.

I don't know - I have no idea how pulseaudio is working. TBH it would be more productive to ask them in your case.

@RXAldreezee You just pasted the config in the terminal. Instead you should create a file with pulseaduio config as said in the readme. Also you should substitute `/path/to/librnnoise_ladspa.so`, `your_mic_name`, and...

If your goal is to denoise microphone output then, yes, you should create this file, paste the configuration you pasted, and edit it to contain the microphone name your system...

PulseEffects might work on RPi, however it seems to depends on distro... https://github.com/wwmm/pulseeffects/issues/804

I also don't think that other apps are really incompatible, it's just that you probably would need to build them yourself.

Looks right, however it's always hard to tell with pulseaudio, does it work?

> maybe ffmpeg can transcode with the ladspa plugin. Yes, I think ffmpeg should be able to do this, see https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#ladspa

Hi @tanty, I also find this useful e.g. for bug reporters to compress huge traces, could you share your use case?
