Start with a fresh profile, with history saving enable. Make sure that the history does not have an entry for this URL (2): https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Crunchyroll+Games,+LLC

On first load of URL (1), the developer ID text color is green. Middle click Crunchyroll Games, LLC to open link in a new tab so URL (2) is added to the history. The developer ID turns black and is not visible on dark background.

Using Inspector tool, the tag <a><span>Crunchyroll Games, LLC</span></a> has this CSS setting a:visited { color: initial; }.

In the Inspector's calculated view, the color is calculated correctly as rgb(0, 161, 115). However, the displayed text color is black.

Microsoft Edge has the correct calculated and display color. ~~Firefox 91.13 ESR does not have this issue.~~

We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue by following the steps to reproduce:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 105.0.1 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 107.0a1 (2022-09-29) (64-bit) /Microsoft Edge Version 105.0.1343.53 (Official build) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

Notes:

1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
2. Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
3. Works as expected using Edge:

Seems like the difference here is the behaviour of color: inherit on the span inside the link element.
