We should move into this solution once https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/issues/33079 is fixed

@vasco-santos looks like the Typscript issue is fixed. Should we pull this in?

Just tested this. It seems to only be available from typescript 4.7, and we are still in 4.6 RC. So it will take some more time
