100% CPU usage with latest update

Open garyking opened this issue 7 years ago • 9 comments

The latest update is incredibly buggy. It increases CPU usage of the Code Helper process to 100%, and it continues even after VS Code is closed. I had to kill two Code Helper processes that were still running, even after Code itself was closed. I had to disable the ext for now. I don't even have any files open.

I think it started happening after I checked out older versions of my project in Git, then the ext might be trying to scan a ton of files. But even after closing the project, and having a single empty window in VSC, and restarting VSC and my Mac, the ext still shoots to 100% CPU when in use.

Having the same problem. My CPU was away up at 215% last night, and once the app was closed I had to kill 3 Code Helper processes.

The only extension I now have installed is coenraads.bracket-pair-colorizer

VSCode and the TODO extension both up to date (and node is on v10.7.0, if needed?). CPU is now down to 95~101% from last night.
