Minimize to tray is broken

Open VarunAgw opened this issue 5 years ago • 10 comments

Wavebox Version: 10.0.25.2 stable Operating System & Version: Windows 10 1909 x64

In previous version, closing the main windows meant it will stay in tray.

Currently when I try to close. it just minimizes instead of going to the tray :(

This is something we're looking at adding support for soon

I hope it's a high priority. Really super annoying to keep it in taskbar all the time.

Same here but on Linux, elementaryOS 5.1 Hera.

Hi, we've just added this to the beta version (10.0.64). If you want to give it a try there's some info on how to switch to the beta channel here https://kb.wavebox.io/beta-channel/

All being well, it should be shipping to stable shortly

Happy to report @Thomas101 that this beta version is correctly closing Wavebox to systray without leaving the icon open on the dock. Thank you for your time and effort.

Cheers.

Unfortunately, the multiple app icons in the systray are still present when opening the Settings window.

@WebShapedBiz is that on Windows? I've got a fix ready to go on that one :)

Thomas101 avatar Feb 05 '20 16:02 Thomas101

Nope @Thomas101, I'm on elementaryOS 5.1 Hera and I believe that I was the one reporting that particular bug.

Another related issue, will there be an option to run Wavebox only in the tray? Now that running in tray works this would be nice.

Cheers.
