Gerber data invalid

Open southern-boy opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

I am trying to order some pc boards for this Maxi but both online Gerb-viewer and the board house tell me that there is no board data in the Zip file. I had the same issue with the non Maxi board. Is there a problem with the zip files?

Apparently, the Gerber files created with EasyEDA don’t work with all PCB manufacturers (I don't know why). I use JLCPCB, and there are no problems.. Try this gerber viewer: https://www.pcbway.com/project/OnlineGerberViewer.html

I found the issue. I have run into it before with other github feeds. I grab a file (in this case the Maxi gerber file) and it is often corrupt but if I download the Master zip file and then extract it and find the gerber zip file, that works. It was JLCPCB that I was trying to use but it kept rejecting the file as invalid as did gerb-viewer until I unzipped the master and grabbed the gerber files there.

Do you have a BOM for your Maxi adapter?

You show a 47uf capacitor on the board but it looks like a standard mlcc or ceramic which do not come in 47uf that I know of (only electrolytic or tantalum come in that value. Should this be .47uf and not 47uf?

Hi, there are 1206 ceramic capacitors with 47uF out there. Sorry, I think I have no BOM.
