This is caused by the default-flags which are specified in the gcc delivered with ubuntu 18.04. Reason is that ./autosetup.sh is building the project with its own (outdated) linker, but with the flags used by the distribution compiler. Solutions for this problem would be to either:
- build the project with the distro-toolchain (no custom make, ld,...)
- deliver a custom gcc which is used for building all the stuff. Do not depend on any distro binaries

Could you provide the solutions in detail? I have met the same error but have no idea how to solve it.
Are there any updates how DangSan could be built on Ubuntu 18.04?
